The Joyce D Foundation was established by Mr. T, a Chartered Certified Accountant, finance educator, and business advisor whose life journey reflects resilience, determination, and an unwavering belief in the power of opportunity.
He grew up in a single-mother-headed household, where his mother was not only the primary breadwinner but also the person who believed most strongly in his dreams and potential. Her encouragement planted the belief that education could change the course of a life.
When Mr. T lost his mother, he lost not only a parent but also the sole financial provider. What followed was a period of profound hardship.
Perseverance Through Adversity
Determined to continue pursuing his education, Mr. T took on menial jobs and temporary work to support himself. Without access to expensive tuition programmes, he pursued his ACCA qualification through self-study, demonstrating extraordinary discipline. Through persistence and relentless effort, he successfully completed his examinations and entered the profession.
A Career Built on Knowledge and Service
Today, Mr. T is a practicing Chartered Certified Accountant, finance educator, and business advisor whose work spans multiple sectors and geographies, extending across the SADC region and internationally.

Having been raised by a mother who carried the full responsibility of supporting her family, Mr. T recognises both the strength and the economic challenges faced by single mothers. The Foundation therefore focuses on:

- Creating pathways to economic independence and long-term stability
